This Refund Policy applies to purchases of Pro subscriptions and Lifetime plans on 5e Maker.

1. Refund Windows
1.1 Pro Monthly / Annual Subscriptions
- Within 7 days of your initial purchase (first-time subscribers only), full refund if you have not substantially used the service.
- "Substantial use" = generating more than 20 outputs (monsters, NPCs, encounters, backstories, character sheets combined).
- Renewals are not refundable. Cancel anytime to prevent the next renewal — see Section 3.
1.2 Lifetime Plan
- Within 14 days of purchase, full refund if you have not substantially used the service (same 20-output threshold).
- After 14 days, Lifetime is non-refundable except where required by law.
1.3 Mistaken or Duplicate Charges
If charged in error, email refunds@5emaker.com with proof. We refund within 5 business days.
2. Non-Refundable Items
- Consumed AI generations (any generation that produced a result, even unsaved).
- Subscription renewals after the first billing cycle.
- Refunds requested after the windows in Section 1.
- Accounts suspended for violating Terms of Service.
3. Cancellation
3.1 How to Cancel
Pro subscriptions can be canceled at any time:
- Log into your account → Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm
Or email refunds@5emaker.com — we'll cancel within 2 business days.
3.2 After Cancellation
- Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- You won't be charged for the next period.
- Saved outputs remain for 90 days post-cancellation, then deleted unless you re-upgrade.
3.3 Lifetime
Lifetime does not auto-renew. Nothing to cancel. To delete your account, see Privacy Policy Section 6.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Email refunds@5emaker.com within the applicable refund window.
- Include your PayPal transaction ID, registered email, and (optionally) reason.
- We respond within 3 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
5. Chargebacks
Please contact refunds@5emaker.com before initiating a chargeback. Most refund requests resolve within 3 business days. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in account suspension during the dispute. This Policy does not waive your right to dispute charges through PayPal or your card issuer.
6. EU / UK Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have additional rights including a 14-day cooling-off period under EU Consumer Rights Directive. By purchasing Pro or Lifetime, you expressly consent to immediate service delivery and acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel lapses once you have substantially used the service (Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU).
If within the 14-day cooling-off and not substantially used, you can request a refund regardless of our standard 7-day window.
7. Pricing & Taxes
- Prices shown in USD, exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated.
- Taxes calculated and added at checkout where required (PayPal handles in supported jurisdictions).
- Refunds include any taxes paid.
8. Changes to This Policy
Material changes communicated via email to active subscribers and Site banner for 30 days. Changes do not apply retroactively.
