Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 3, 2026

These terms govern use of 5emaker.com and its AI-assisted tabletop tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Contact contact@5emaker.com with questions.

1. The Service

5e Maker creates draft monsters, NPCs, encounters, characters, character sheets, and backstories. Outputs may be incomplete, inconsistent, or mechanically unbalanced and must be reviewed before play or publication. Current product capabilities and limits are shown on the relevant tool and pricing pages.

5e Maker is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast or Hasbro. See the Disclaimer for attribution and trademark details.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13, and must have permission from a parent or guardian if local law requires it. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in and for providing accurate payment and support information.

3. Plans, Usage, and Billing

  • Free access is subject to the limits shown in the product.
  • Pro subscriptions renew through PayPal until canceled. Cancellation stops future renewal and preserves paid access through the current period.
  • Only successful generations count against a generation allowance.
  • Lifetime means access for the operating life of this service, not the lifetime of a user or any guaranteed number of years.
  • Prices and included usage may change for future purchases or renewal periods after reasonable notice.

Refund eligibility is described in the Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • circumvent limits, interfere with security, overload the service, or use unauthorized automation;
  • use the service to violate law, privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other third-party rights;
  • submit sexual content involving minors or content that meaningfully facilitates real-world harm;
  • misrepresent generated material as official content from a publisher or rights holder; or
  • resell access to the service itself without written permission.

We may limit or suspend access reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or security risks.

5. Inputs and Outputs

You retain any rights you have in your inputs. You authorize us and our service providers to process them only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service. We do not claim ownership of your generated outputs.

Paid plans permit personal and commercial use of outputs, subject to applicable law, third-party rights, and any license obligations in source material you choose to include. This permission is not a promise that an AI output is copyrightable, unique, non-infringing, accurate, or accepted by a particular marketplace. You are responsible for review and for any required attribution.

6. Our Materials

The 5e Maker name, site design, original site copy, and software remain protected by their applicable rights. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or third-party marks.

7. Availability and Changes

We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change models, providers, features, or limits to maintain quality, security, or viability. If we discontinue a paid service before an active paid period ends, we will provide a reasonable remedy such as continued access, account credit, or a prorated refund.

8. Disclaimers and Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee game balance, factual accuracy, originality, or fitness for a specific purpose. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow every exclusion above, so those limits apply only as far as local law permits.

9. Ending Use

You may stop using the service at any time. Canceling billing, deleting account data, and requesting a refund are separate actions. Material violations may lead to suspension or termination, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights.

10. Disputes and Changes

Contact legal@5emaker.com first so we can try to resolve a dispute. These terms do not impose a governing jurisdiction or arbitration forum that the operator has not validly established, and they do not remove rights that apply where you live.

We will update the date above when these terms change and give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid access.
